Hi! I’m Christine, the owner of Bake Oven Woodworks based in northeast Pennsylvania. I started woodworking as a hobby in 2011. A friend was going through some old tools they had and there happened to be a draw knife in the mix. I picked it up and started carving little scallops into a piece of oak. I made a wooden cross with scalloped edges, which ended up being the first project I ever completed. From there I just started experimenting, creating and learning about woodworking.

From boxes to bedframes, I tried it all but I focused a majority of my time on hand carved signs. While I still make signs, I prefer to hone my skills on more intricate projects. My primary focuses are jewelry boxes and picture frames with metal inlay accents. I have spent the last 10 years creating a functional woodshop and building my business.
